Factory calibration is often required when calibration has to take place in controlled environmental conditions or with absolute precision.
The advantages of on-site calibration are many but mainly - it ensures minimum plant downtime times as the meter to be tested can remain in situ- and it ensures that re-calibration can take place in the actual installation and often with the original medium.
