CCGT power stations represent a very efficient solution for generation of power. They work with efficiencies of up to 60% and can be built economically and fast. Due to the comparatively high energy efficiencies they are very environmentally friendly. |
For the same generation of current substantially less CO2 is produced than in fossil coal-fired power stations. At the same time practically no other materials (SO2, NOx) are produced, because natural gas is a very clean primary energy carrier. |
