Family Day at Endress+Hauser Maulburg
Last Saturday, 5,000 associates and their relatives visited the company site
After the official inauguration ceremony, the associates had the opportunity of showing their relatives the premises, the three new buildings and their own working place at the family day. Fortunately, the weather was good and, thus, many visitors came to the premises from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The organization team, headed by the Director of Human Resources, Wilfried Köning, arranged interesting tours, the most varied program for kids as well as excellent catering.
The new Building 7 for the mechanical production offers interesting insights with its glass façade. At the family day, the visitors could get a close look of the machines and also visit the new office environment along the Hauptstraße. Building 5, which has already existed since the 80-ies, was reconstructed energetically. The “Open Office” of Vitra offers room for cooperation and open communication. The three new buildings focus among other aspects on improving the working conditions.
Highlight bouncing castle
To get the youngest visitors already enthusiastic about the company, there was an interesting program for kids with a climbing wall, trampoline and circus attractions. The bouncing castle was one highlight. Many visitors took part in the balloon competition and practical activities like soldering thermometers. “A lot of children also visited the indoor activities including face painting, obstacle courses and the kids cinema,” report Anja Kühn and Marion Fünfgeld from the organization team.
The Endress+Hauser Big Band, specifically created for this event and comprising almost 50 associates, had two gigs and provided music for young and old. Clubs from the region and the team of the staff restaurant provided the catering. The two ice cream carts were very well frequented.
“The associates gladly accepted the opportunity of showing their relatives the premises because we are continually developing our company site,” explains Wilfried Köning. “Presenting Endress+Hauser as a friendly and open company is of great importance to the management.”
