Endress+Hauser's Fieldgate web server is a data transmission unit that enables remote monitoring, diagnosis and configuration of devices anywhere in the world via the Internet. A standard Internet browser is sufficient for inventory data inquiry. Inventory limits are actively monitored and reported e.g. by e-mail.
Fieldgate uses the HARTand PROFIBUS to communicate with connected instrumentation. Not only measured values but instrument status information is also transmitted. If faults occur at instrument level, Fieldgate reports this. It facilitates the remote configuration of the instrument, enabling fault interrogation correction.
