Endress+Hauser's Fieldgate web server is a data transmission unit that enables remote monitoring, diagnosis and configuration of devices anywhere in the world via the Internet. A standard Internet browser is all that's needed to access the inventory data. Inventory limits are actively monitored and reported e.g. by e-mail.
Fieldgate uses the digital HART® protocol to communicate with connected instrumentation. Not only measured values but instrument diagnostic information is also transmitted. If an error occurs at the instrument level, Fieldgate reports this. It facilitates the remote configuration of the instrument using the HART® protocol, enabling error interrogation correction.
