Your challenge
The customer had a very large amount of transmitters and electrical devices and wanted to reduce it to a minimum. Devices were coming from different suppliers leading to a large stock of very different instruments types. Optimizing the inventory became the priority for the plant, as well as the need to modernize the control technology dating from the seventies. The customer needed a reliable partner that could support during the different phases of the project that lasted for six years.
Our solution
Endress+Hauser proposed for the first phase of the project, a list of actions to reduce the types of devices:
Putting all catalogues from different p/dp-suppliers together, sometimes for transmitters, that are over 30 years old
Working the information from the catalogue into customers data list
Listing the alternative Endress+Hauser transmitters
Priorize the sequence of the scenarios for reducing the types of transmitters
Using the scenarios with the technical features of Cerabar S / Deltabar S
