Double honor for Klaus Endress
Swiss entrepreneur receives the Federal Cross of Merit, as well as the title of Honorary Senator of the University of Freiburg

Klaus Endress has been awarded the German Federal Cross of Merit, handed over by the Finance Minister of Baden-Württemberg, Edith Sitzmann.

Rector Hans-Jochen Schiewer conferred on Klaus Endress the title of Honorary Senator of the University of Freiburg, Germany.
The Federal Cross of Merit is conferred by the German Federal President. It was given in person to Klaus Endress last Friday, 10 November 2017, by the Finance Minister of Baden-Württemberg, Edith Sitzmann. At the same time the Rector of the University of Freiburg, Germany, Professor Hans-Jochen Schiewer, conferred on the Swiss entrepreneur the title of Honorary Senator of the University.
Both distinctions were awarded on the day of the handover at the regional employers’ association WVIB. Klaus Endress (68) had for nine years acted as chairman of this network of companies known as ‘Schwarzwald AG’ (‘Black Forest Corp’). His successor in this honorary position is the German entrepreneur Thomas Burger.
