Gas processing
Non-contact and accurate measuring of natural gas contaminants
Monitoring contaminants is critical for process optimization and gas quality.
Hydrogen sulfide H2S in amine scrubber outlet
One of the first steps in a gas plant is the reduction of acid gas components. Measuring ranges starting from 0 to 10 ppmv for H2S and from 0 to 10 ppmv for H2O.
Traditional approach
Lead acetate tape analyzers work but have high maintenance requirements to replace and dispose of the tapes in an environmentally safe manner
On-line gas chromatograph take 3 – 6 minutes between measurement updates and do not sense rapid changes. OPEX are high due to consumption of carrier gas and flame fuel cylinder gases
Broadband UV light sources and narrow band pass filters are prone to interferences from changing background concentration.
Our solution
High resolution SpectraSensors' TDLAS technology eliminates errors due to interferences encountered with other spectroscopic techniques.
Typical analytes and measuring ranges
Analyte: H2S - Range: 0-10 to 0-5000 ppmv
Analyte: H2O - Range: 0-10 ppmv
Analyte: CO2 - Range: 0-100 ppmv to 0-5%
