According to the results of a survey conducted by the Swiss newspaper Handelszeitung and the magazine Le Temps, in conjunction with market research firm Statista, Endress+Hauser is one of the top employers in Switzerland. The Group placed 19th overall. In the category “electric and electronics technology, electronic and medical devices”, Endress+Hauser landed in first place, and in the industry category “plant engineering and construction”, third place.
The ranking is based on an independent survey of more than 15,000 employees in Switzerland conducted via online panels and the Handelszeitung and Le Temps websites. More than 1,500 companies, with at least 200 employees in Switzerland, were evaluated.
The survey respondents evaluated their own employers, as well as other companies in the same industry, after which a total score was determined. The willingness to recommend one’s own employer was weighted heavily in the overall score. Evaluations from the previous year were also factored in.
“We’re obviously pleased to receive such positive feedback from our employees in Switzerland. The high degree of willingness to recommend one’s own employer clearly shows that the people in our company are highly satisfied with the work environment and their jobs,” says Jörg Stegert, Chief Human Resources Officer at the Endress+Hauser Group. The company, which has nearly 2,200 employees in Switzerland, also received an excellent score among employees in Germany in February.
Innovation and technology The Basel-based family company is one of the global leaders in industrial measurement and automation technology. Innovative technologies, such as the software in the instruments and solutions, play a major role in the company’s success. Udo Fuchs, head of the software development department at Endress+Hauser in Reinach, has been employed as a measurement technology specialist for 17 years, and is still enthusiastic.
“Apart from the corporate culture, what’s important for me is the work methodology and having a job that is meaningful. Endress+Hauser allows us to work independently within a team and gives us latitude and personal responsibility. In addition to the corporate culture, for me this is one of the keys to being an attractive employer.”
