Automation Technician with a Swiss Federal Diploma

As an automation technician you learn about electrical and mechanical components. You build electrical controls, apparatuses, machines, or automation systems. In addition, you wire and assemble control cabinets using technical documentation. You develop solutions for control and automation tasks. Furthermore, you manufacture automated devices and systems, commission them, carry out repairs and create technical documents.

The apprenticeship lasts four years. The young people attend regular classes at a vocational school, the Allgemeine Gewerbeschule Basel (AGS). Our apprentices are also offered the opportunity of international training (EUREGIO), that is, the completion of an internship in a foreign country close to the border. We strongly encourage their obtaining professional maturity during the apprenticeship with us.

We are looking for young people who are interested in new technologies, electrical engineering, and technical contexts. Of course, important qualifications are craftsmanship and the ability to work accurately. Patience, stamina, and the ability to concentrate are also important.

Suitable students: good secondary school students, level E or P.

In August we publish the apprenticeship positions for the following year.
