In Baden-Wuerttemberg, the government and employer associations recognize companies that cultivate a family-friendly and digital culture. Endress+Hauser has now been honored in this respect.
Which companies strive to offer a work-life balance against the backdrop of a digital work environment? Each year, the familyNET network seeks out and recognizes companies that meet this requirement. The members of the network include several employers' associations, as well as the State Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism.
By attesting to Endress+Hauser’s progressive corporate culture in a variety of aspects, the familyNET jury found what it is looking for in Germany’s Wiesental region. The measurement technology specialist was awarded the distinction as a “Family-conscious Company”, with additional recognition in the area of “Digital Excellence”. Endress+Hauser received this distinction for the first time in 2017.
After the new evaluation, familyNET had this to say about the company: “Endress+Hauser has continued to grow in the area of family-friendly personnel policies, developed new measures and continued its excellent strategy. Built around leadership skills and with a focus on the positive human experience, the company provides its employees leeway, including for personal development, and cultivates a team spirit. It places the common good above the interests of the individual and promotes diversity.”
Citing specific examples, familyNET noted that among other things, Endress+Hauser established a daycare service for elementary school students during school holidays. Apart from its own “Blue TigeR” daycare facility, the company also cooperates with a local daycare center, organizes access to family care counselors and offers on-site social counseling.
Employees can also participate in an initiative that promotes diversity. According to familyNET, Endress+Hauser earned the “Digital Excellence” distinction through measures such as a digital employee survey, a digital employee record and the “Digital Work Place”, a central communication and information platform.

Christof Schröder, head of personnel management at Endress+Hauser Level+Pressure, accepted the distinction during a virtual awards ceremony. “Over the past years we have introduced a host of new measures and are happy to see our efforts honored with this distinction from familyNET,” said Schröder. “At the same time it’s an incentive for us to continue to develop creative programs for our employees consistent with today’s modern work environment.”
