Levelflex FMP51 - The standard sensor for highest demands in liquid level measurement

Solution:

  • Guided-wave radar technology is a maintenance free alternative to displacers with reliable level measurement without influence from changes in density.

Easily retrofit guided wave radar onto the existing displacer chamber
    brings savings.

Challenges:

  • High maintenance effort and need to recalibrate after service or change of products.

  • It loses displacer spring every now and then due to corrosion which needs to replace whole displacer.

  • Too costly to keep spare as the displacer is density and measuring range dependent

Benefits at a glance:

  • Reliable level measurement independent of medium density

  • Ease of installation in plunger or float locations - improve level measurement without large capital expenditure

  • No mechanical moving parts - high durability and reduced maintenance effort

  • Ease of use of the instrument and guarantee technological process continuity

  • Instrument is ready to operate in SIS interlock as it is designed accordance to IEC61508

Components:

Leveflex FMP51 coaxial probe mounted onto the existing Masoneilan displacer chamber.

•        Measures independent from density or bulk weight, conductivity, dielectric constant, temperature and dust.

•        Process temperatures range from -200 to 400°C

•        Ambient temperature range from -40 to 80°C

•        Process pressure range -1 to 400 bar

•        Coaxial probe length up to 4 m
